Public assistance benefits are offered through a variety of government programs.

Lake County Department of Job and Family Services

LCDJFS offers public assistance programs to assist families with a variety of needs, including Medicaid coverage, help finding jobs or job training, food stamps, and more. Programs for working families are also available. For more information, visit lakecountyohio.gov or call 440-350-4000.

Social Security Administration

People released from incarceration may be eligible for Social Security retirement, survivors, or disability benefits if you have worked or paid into Social Security enough years or Supplemental Security Income benefits if you are 65 or older, or are blind, or have a disability and have little or no income and resources. Lake County Veterans Service Center
